Staff at the front desk are wonderful. The rooms are quaint, clean and large enough for the 3 of us. Have to mention the specialty coffee drinks made at your table/lounge area yummy and recommend them! View of Sigirya fortress is lovely. The grounds are unique and Hotel has a nice vibe. Good location too.

The hotel grounds are amazing, beautiful jungle scenery with lots of animals such as monkeys, ducks and turtles. The room was lovely, well decorated with a comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even delivered a complimentary box of sweets to our door. The location is perfect, right near Sigiriya Rock.

Fist impression is every thing host at the hotel is very friendly, not only her every one is friendly and helpful... rooms and bathrooms are very clean. it was a nice stay... surrounded by trees and ponds... its like staying in a village....very nice.. only thing is the buffet mm..... it was not good enough... but i hope to visit Sigiriya village again.

What a find - much better than the highly recommended hotel next door. There are really beautiful garden chalets which make you feel like you are in the jungle - beautiful Resturant with views of the lion rock and a great menu. Buffet at night - which was good if somewhat swamped by Chinese tour bus people on the first night. The front desk person was incredible - helping us arrange a bird walk with an equally terrific and passionate naturalist - mr Malala - must do that! They arranged a trip to kaudalla for us which was a bit unfortunate - they use an outside company and the driver and guide could not speak any English and drove like lunatics- we arranged our own guide at the park and sat upfront supervising the driving - hairraising but the manager and front desk chap dealt with it superbly when we highlighted and arranged a super driver to take us onto the mountains. This is one of the best places to stay in Sri Lanka and the super staff make a perfect setting even better

Nice hotel close by to Sigiriya. Standard rooms were spacious and the bathroom was clean. Rooms are well apart and in a calm environment. Standard garden view and standard amenities in room. Pool was big with a nice vei2 of Sigiriya rock from the pool. Food was good with an average variety. Staff was friendly. Thanks.

Very nice staff, spacious bungalows, nice pool with sigiriya rock view, good breakfast, walking distance to sigiriya village. Caters quite big groups, so it can get busy at breakfast. Enjoyed the stay.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this hotel during an escorted tour of Sri Lanka.. Essentially it comprises series of small bungalow type villages set in parkland. Monkeys and bird life abound and you may be lucky is seeing a large lizard. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed, if a little on the dark side. The dining and bar facilities. are excellent with a wide range of food to suit all tastes. The hotel is very convenient for visiting Sigiriya Rock (UNESCO site), although 1200 steps to the top may be somewhat challenging!. As an alternative the museum is worth visiting and the walk in the former Royal Gardens worthwhile. Also due not miss the beautifully painted cave temples of Dambulla (UNESCO site), again a few hundred steps to conquer!

This hotel has a great location very close to Lion's Rock. The room we stayed in was nice and clean. Service was pretty ok, but a bit slow. The breakfast and dinner buffet was not particularly good. It seams that the hotel wants to cater for Europeans, Indians and Asians with a wide selection of low quality rather than having a few high quality dishes. Sandwiches for lunch where great though.

This hotel is a must for nature lovers. The hotel is based upon individual bungalows spread around the ample estate. Our bungalow was very nicely furnished, plenty of hanging space, Tv, if you like, DVD player, enormous comfortable bed and a very well appointed bathroom. It is very quiet here enabling a great nights sleep and a perfect start to our tour of Sri Lanka. The pool is clean and warm, the food very good, including the buffet breakfast, and the bar has a varied selection. The staff are exceptional, very warm and friendly and very professional. Great place to stay if you like nature, birds, turtles, lizards and monkeys to be seen. Thank you to all staff.

Interesting decor within the character of the sight ,with beautiful gardens surrounding all the Bungalows.Lots of birds,and monkeys,roaming around the hotel.Excellent local food,and friendly staff.Good position to visit Sigiriya rock which can be seen from the hotel.

Great hotel with spacious rooms and bathrooms. Great bar area. Food at breakfast and dinner was very good with a good variety of Sri Lankan and western food. Service is very good and the grounds are lovely. Good free WiFi. Beautifully maintained grounds. Great beds and very quiet rooms.

Its a good hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food very tasty. Hotel itself offers much scenic beauties. Historical Sigiriya Rock and many other historical places are easily accessible. We had a peaceful drive along the nearby roads, watching beautiful scenes of semi-wilderness.

My wife and her sister were staying here on 1 and 2nd Feb when her sister had a bad fall. The hotel staff came to their assistance immediately, provided a wheelchair, took them to hospital with four members of staff including a lady to help. Stayed with them during all the consultations and small operation. Laundered the soiled clothes, provided suitable food and checked constantly if anything else was required. They were so grateful to everyone involved.

Good Food, Location (near Sigiriya rock), service and nice rooms in a leafy setting. We had a pleasant stay in this lovely hotel which has a nice view of the rock. Staff were lovely. Recommend staying here if you are in Sigirya. We based ourselves here and travelled daily to other sites for our 4 day stay in the cultural triangle.
